Providing emergency backup power for the U.S. Army headquarters in New York

Historic Fort Hamilton, located in Brooklyn, New York City, provides the New York metropolitan area with military installation support for the Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve. The garrison provides housing for military families and essential facilities for more than 50,000 active, reserve and retired military personnel and their families.

The U.S. army's North Atlantic Division headquarters needed its backup generator replaced. The generator is used during power outages or emergencies.

Under an ongoing contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide contingency power generation and electrical distribution services worldwide, Louis Berger replaced an existing 300-kilowatt backup generator at the headquarters in Fort Hamilton.
